Tres Years!

We celebrated our Three Year Wedding Anniversary on June 18 this week. My, how time flies.

For our one year anniversary, we went to the Big Island of Hawaii and hung out in Kona.

Last year, we went to San Diego and went to Sea World with the MacDiggity's... BTW, we do call Leland our Shamu Baby, if you know what I mean...

This year we couldn't do anything big. Melissa just went back to work, and we have Leland now which rules out almost EVERYTHING. Plus, it was on a Wednesday so a little hard to fully celebrate.

Did we go out to eat? Nope.

Did we buy take-out? Nope.

We did what we like to do: COOK.

While Melissa made some delicious salad and other fixin's, I fired up the BBQ Smoker and threw in three racks of Baby Back Ribs...

OH YEAH!!! We didn't want steak because we cooked beef tapa the night before, so PORK was the next choice. And were they solid!

We've also been meaning to share our cooking with Melissa's GYN doc (please view blog entry THE BIRTH BLOG from March) because of how awesome she's been (plus she's expecting as well!) so what better than some ribs!

Anyways, here a family pic of us.

Leland's Three Months!!!

On 06.07.08 our son turned three months old! Time flies so fast. So what did mommy & daddy do to celebrate this milestone? We passed the baby to the grandparents to go have fun without him!!!

Leland's Uncle Berto & Auntie Connie got married on 06.07.08! It was a big, fun wedding- even Grandma Arlene did the flowers.

Even though we could have brought the little one, it was a smart decision for us to let him stay with Grandma & Grandma Pacho for the night. And, of course, they didn't mind at all. They took Leland shopping at the Exchange at "Trahbees" (Travis AFB), and he was a good boy the whole time. He even slept through most of the night on their bed!
Mommy & Daddy on the otherhand... Well, first time out at a party without Leland? As Uncle Chris put it, we were "like kids without kids..." Bert & Con's wedding was LEGEN... wait for it... DARY!

We did miss him dearly while we were partying. We couldn't stop thinking about him, and it didn't help that everyone was asking about him. But we know that parents need that once in a while- a little time to enjoy ourselves. And we most certainly did.

Aside from the wedding, it was a pretty eventful weekend. Uncle IJ graduated from high school on Friday and had his party on Sunday, so there wasn't anytime on the weekend for us to celebrate with Leland. But we'll do something special soon... He probably got a little residual "Gray Goose & Rockstar" from mommy's expressed milk, anyways!
