Dim Sum

After church today, Melissa and I headed over to Mayflower Restaurant at the Great Mall for some Dim-Sum. We landed great parking (which is tough at GM) because of the special "Expecting-Mothers-To-Be" spots right next to the Handicap ones. Friggin' awesome.

Although Dim-Sum isn't Melissa's first choice because of the high volume of shrimp dishes (she unfortunately has an allergy to sweet, succulent foods known as crustaceans), she's always a trooper and makes due... Which is another reason why I married the breezy. Man, can she eat!

There's a few places I'll take advantage of the seafood menu when Melissa's around, and this is one. But I do feel bad- Melissa used to be able to eat all seafood- she even lived in Maine for a while as a kid. But she ate too much of it at a young age, thus building an allergy towards it.

Her allergy ranges from an itchy lip to going into anaphylactic shock (hasn't happen since they found out she was allergic when she was young). She even carries around an EPI pen (for those who don't know, think Pulp Fiction when John Travolta "revived" Uma Thurman)... I pray I'll never have to use it...

I'm also praying our son doesn't inherit any of those allergies. The kid has to be like pops and is willing (and able) to eat anything and everything... Well, he has to at least like the four major food groups: Pork, Beef, Chicken, and Ham...
